Editor and Author Carole Fink, associate professor of history, attended the second conference of the International Society for the Study of European Ideas Sept. During the conference scholars in the humanities, arts, and social sciences from Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and America discussed the theme, "A Comparative History of European Nationalism: Toward 1992".
Fink's presentation was entitled "The Historian as Patriot". The grant will assist in improving primary health care to poor rural and urban communities in Chile.
